Finance and Offtake Mandate
When a project needs bankable offtake, anchor tenant commitment, commercial buyer support or capital
partner engagement before close, the commercial route must be structured and controlled.
When a project needs bankable offtake, anchor tenant commitment, working capital support or capital partner engagement before close, the commercial path needs to be structured and controlled.
Global Coalition runs finance and offtake-related mandates for infrastructure and resource projects across energy, critical minerals, data infrastructure, green hydrogen and industrial sectors. We originate and coordinate credible counterparties, commercial routes and adviser inputs so the client can move toward signed terms, offtake, anchor customer commitment or another agreed mandate trigger.
We do not provide regulated financial advice, investment advice, lending or legal advice. Clients contract directly with lenders, investors, offtakers, buyers and appointed professional advisers.
Most infrastructure projects that fail to reach financial close do not fail because the asset is bad. They fail because the commercial structure between the project, its offtakers, and its lenders was never properly resolved. Lenders need bankable offtake. Offtakers will not sign long-dated contracts at prices that do not reflect market reality. Resolving that requires running buyer-side structuring and lender-side credit modelling simultaneously, not sequentially.
What This Delivers
A controlled shortlist of credible offtakers, anchor tenants, commercial buyers or capital partners whose requirements match the project profile.
A clear commercial route showing what counterparties need before they can proceed.
Parallel counterparty tracks where appropriate, managed to a single timetable. Coordination between the client, counterparties and appointed legal, technical, credit or regulated advisers through to the agreed mandate milestone.
Our Process
Discovery and objectives. We confirm the funding gap, the capital structure, the offtake position, and the counterparty map. We identify the three to five capital providers and the three to five offtake buyers most likely to reach heads of terms within the project's window.
Commercial route design. We map the volumes, pricing logic, tenor, delivery obligations, acceptance gates and counterparty requirements that will need to be resolved before terms can be signed. Drafting of binding documents remains with the client’s appointed legal and professional advisers.
Counterparty engagement. We approach the shortlist under NDA and run parallel tracks. Competitive tension across multiple simultaneous conversations compresses timelines and improves terms.
Execution support. We coordinate the client, counterparties and appointed advisers to a single timetable through to the agreed mandate milestone.
Active Across
Energy transition projects needing PPA or offtake to reach financial close. Critical minerals developers seeking creditworthy Western or Asian buyers outside China. Green hydrogen and synthetic fuel projects where the tenor mismatch between lender requirements and buyer willingness is the core challenge. Data infrastructure developers needing anchor tenant commitments before financial close. Industrial projects requiring working capital or pre-pay structures to fund restart or expansion.
Why It Works
Fast, focused, and built around your delivery timeline. A single accountable team coordinating counterparties, advisers, and workstreams to one timetable — so the path from current position to agreed mandate milestone is controlled rather than fragmented.
Book a mandate discovery call. We will confirm the problem the stakeholders and the fastest credible path to close.
